Angelina Jolie got emotional when she dropped off her daughter, Zahara Jolie-Pitt, at Spelman College in Atlanta on Wednesday. In a video posted on Instagram by Darryl Holloman, Spelman’s vice president for student affairs, the Oscar-winning actress was seen helping her 17-year-old daughter move into college. Despite trying to hold back her tears, Angelina admitted that she was struggling to keep her emotions in check and said, “I’m gonna start crying…I have not started crying yet.”
Angelina Jolie, who is 47 years old, recently dropped off her daughter Zahara Jolie-Pitt, aged 17, at Atlanta’s Spelman College. During their visit, they took a photo with Darryl Holloman, the vice president for student affairs at the college. Dr. Helene Gayle, Spelman College’s president, assured Angelina that she would have plenty of time to get emotional at other college events and joked that these events are designed to purposefully induce emotions. Angelina stated that she is still holding herself together and that she heard that tomorrow night was the big deal. Holloman asked her how it felt to be a Spelman mom, to which Angelina replied that she was excited. Holloman posted a picture of Angelina with Gayle and a selfie with Angelina and Zahara, welcoming Zahara to the campus.
The performer who starred in Maleficent expressed that she might burst into tears, confessing that she hasn’t shed a tear yet. She further mentioned that she was managing to stay composed.

Jolie expressed her excitement about her daughter’s latest educational milestone. Last July, she even posted a photo of Zahara with her fellow Spelman sisters, congratulating all the new students who started this year. Jolie and Brad Pitt have six children, with Maddox currently studying in South Korea’s Yonsei University. Pitt shared his pride for Zahara attending Spelman, a historically Black college for women, saying that she’s intelligent and will thrive in college. He also mentioned how time flies by quickly, and it just brings a tear to his eye.
Back in July, Jolie shared a picture of Zahara hanging out with her college friends on Instagram. She captioned it with the words, “Zahara with her Spelman sisters!”
In recent news, Brad Pitt’s daughter Zahara is making him proud as she prepares to attend Spelman College, a prestigious institution for black women. He expressed his joy at her accomplishment during the Bullet Train premiere in LA earlier this month.
